How C.O.P.E Helps Us

CWA's Legislative and Political Department has active, ongoing programs designed to give you vital information on Federal and State government activities, including:

  • Legislative issues and alerts
  • Voting records
  • Candidate endorsements

(Click on the image to fill out a Voter Registration form on-line)

With this, you can expand your level of citizenship to include not only voting in elections and primaries, but meaningful communications with your elected officials and grass roots involvement in movements that shape our future and change the status quo.

You can find all of this on the web. Click on this URL, bookmark it and visit it frequently:

This is the CWA Political/Legislative Web. It contains an incredible wealth of information, too vast to describe here. See for yourself. You'll be amazed and fascinated by what you find.

How We Can Help C.O.P.E.
Electing the right people to office who share our values, who understand CWA members' needs, won't happen unless we make it happen. Too often the wrong candidates are elected, thanks in part to big business PAC's and organizations who flood campaigns with contributions. Once elected, these officials turn a deaf ear to the needs of the working people on many important issues.

That's why it is vital that we have more elected officials who want the things we want, who want to help working
people and their families survive.

But It Takes Money!

That's why CWA-C.O.P.E. contributions are so important. Through contributions made to CWA-C.O.P.E., all of us as CWA members can have a stake in electing public officials who share our values and understand our needs. We have a chance to make a difference in the way our government is run, and in what our children's world becomes.

You can give to C.O.P.E. through the payroll deduction process through weekly deductions or you can make a one-time annual contribution.
